Special characters in instruction type fields

Is there a way to use * or other special characters in an instruction type field without it being formatted to Markdown?

@Dominik_114199 In general, you can just add the special character directly, such as just typing a *.

In the case of an asterisk, that won't work if you start a line with it (markdown bullets) or sometimes if you use 2 in a row (markdown bold text).

In those cases, you can escape the asterisk by adding a \ in front of it:
\*
