Email: Send a Form - how to detect when webform is submitted
Hello,
When using Email: Send a Form to send a webform, how can you trigger another step/action (within the same workflow) right after the person receiving the email submits the form?
I think I can do it with a delayed start on the "next" step/action, to check if any of the required fields in the webform are not empty after a certain amount of time. But is there a way to trigger this right after the webform is submitted?
I understand this is not a traditional webform trigger that starts a workflow, but I can't find anything in the help pages.
For the "next" task, I can't use a dependency that the Email: Send a Form task is completed, because that task completes when the email is sent, it doesn't wait for the webform to be submitted.
I probably didn't pay attention in training very well. 😁
I would be open to the webform submission (from Email Send a Form) starting another workflow, if that is the solution.
thanks!
Kevin

@Kevin_579059 if you set a task to be dependent on the web form step it will complete when the form is submitted, not when it is sent.
You may be thinking of the Email: send an email step which completes as soon as it’s sent.
Does that help?
