It could be valuable to add escalation rules natively on the Assign task to a person action, or create a new action (e.g. Pushbot: Escalate pending task) that would reassign, send a more customized reminder email, or dynamically change/add assignees (i.e. manager) after a designated amount of time has lapsed.
